Community Partner Highlight: Ronald McDonald House.

Every week, a familiar crew heads to the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester with a simple goal: help create a clean, welcoming space for families who are going through difficult times.

Our partnership with Ronald McDonald House gives our individuals the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while building valuable skills and confidence along the way. The group has settled into their roles and takes pride in the work they do each week.

David keeps the craft room looking its best, making sure families have a clean and inviting place to relax and create. Andy tackles the sweeping and mopping, helping keep shared spaces fresh and welcoming. Abdi and Nathan work together cleaning tables and common areas. During a recent visit, Nathan was excited to learn how to use a spray mop to clean the hallways, adding a new skill to his growing toolbox.

What makes this partnership especially meaningful is the sense of purpose it provides. As the direct support professional who accompanies the group shared, volunteering at Ronald McDonald House is about more than cleaning, it is about giving back to a community in need and being part of something bigger than ourselves.

The same group returns each week and their enthusiasm speaks volumes. They enjoy their tasks, and know that their efforts help make families feel more comfortable and cared for during a difficult time.

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Ronald McDonald House. Through this experience, our individuals are strengthening job skills, building confidence, and showing how even small acts of service can have a big impact on a community.
