Some factories were never meant to sit on flat ground. They were hidden where cliffs could guard them—deep in valleys where concrete could be poured into the landscape itself. This assembly gorge was one of those places: a vertical factory, stacked in layers, where armored vehicles were built piece by piece under stone and sky.
On the left, the gorge is alive. Cranes stretch across open space, chains sway, and engines hang suspended between levels. Soldiers move along catwalks while engineers guide steel into alignment. The eagle relief above the central platform presides over controlled chaos, marking a site where secrecy and scale were inseparable. Every terrace had a purpose—fabrication, fitting, testing—connected by ramps and lifts designed to keep production moving even under threat.
On the right, the valley breathes again. Silence replaces the clang of metal. Water pools where oil once spilled; moss softens edges meant to be unforgiving. The eagle remains, scarred and heavy, staring across empty platforms that once carried weight and urgency. Nature has not erased the structure—it has absorbed it.
This place teaches a hard truth about industrial war: production was architecture. To build machines of force, landscapes themselves were reshaped into machines. When the work stopped, the stone stayed behind, carrying the memory of labor upward through every cracked level.
