RIT in L.A. - Fall semester 2025
This fall 2025 semester study away program allows you to immerse yourself in the entertainment industry while earning academic credit, gaining hands-on experience, and networking with professionals in Los Angeles.
If you’ve been curious about using your RIT degree to work in the entertainment industry, a semester in L.A. would help you explore how your skills could be a good fit working for film/television, theme parks, production companies, visual effects companies, gaming studios, and other entertainment venues.
While in L.A., you would take tailored RIT classes based on your major (Film, Animation, Motion Picture Science, Game Design) or courses related to Transmedia Storytelling (all majors). You can also do an optional internship to get professional experience in the entertainment industry.
This is an ideal opportunity to live, study, and intern in L.A. with RIT's full support and structure through classwork, networking, excursions, and career coaching.

And no, not everyone will become your friend, but reach out to as many people as you can while traveling to make it as fun as possible. Instagram/social media is a wonderful way to stay in touch with people after you return home and remember all the fun you had while you were away.”
