HOW SATISFIED ARE YOU? For the third year in a row, RG&E and NYSEG have failed to meet the “customer satisfaction” benchmarks that they agreed to with state regulators. Workers from the NYS Department of Public Service are tasked with tracking utility performance, they presented their 2025 findings to the Public Service Commission on Thursday. Because it's becoming a pattern, the penalties are worse. NYSEG will get hit with more than a $13 million reduction in revenue and RG&E will lose $8 million. State regulators insist that these penalties can NOT be passed on to customers and are handled during the rate-case process.

Paramedics and EMT's respond to dozens of emergency calls across our county every day. They play a vital role as first responders in our community. Their jobs are often incredibly difficult and emotionally fraught.

All EMT's and Paramedics deserve a sustainable career path that respects their time, skill and dedication. These are jobs that should have parity with other emergency services and, like other emergency services, are jobs that should bring you into a dignified retirement.

These workers stuck together despite tens of thousands of dollars being spent on union-busting consultants by their management. Now it's time to negotiate a strong contract that guarantees our members have a real voice and protection on the job alongside industry-leading benefits.

Congratulations to the EMT's and Paramedics of Penfield-Webster EMS and welcome to Teamsters Local 118!
