Another major milestone has been reached at the new Benike office - the precast planks are officially set! This week, the team will pour the topping and begin building the second floor with CMU block. The slab on grade will also be poured, with portions of the main floor featuring exposed polished concrete.

Please join us on Wednesday, July 8, at 1:00 p.m. for a groundbreaking ceremony at the Stewartville Public Library. There will be brief comments from local leaders, followed by photo opportunities.

The library will be adding a 4,000 square foot addition, doubling the size of the current building. The expansion will provide two meeting rooms, a small study room, a makerspace, and expanded library collection space for the Stewartville community.

This project would not be happening without the extraordinary efforts of the Stewartville City Council, the Stewartville Public Library Board, the Library’s Building Committee, as well as Library and City of Stewartville staff.

The expansion was designed by the architecture firm Miller Dunwiddie, and construction efforts will be led by Benike Construction. This project has been years in the making and will positively impact greater Stewartville for decades to come.
