Vigil for Transgender Day of Remembrance For the first time in Rochester, a local transgender support group is taking part in a national event that started more than  20 years ago.

Want to know what you can do to support transgender people?

Take a stand and be visible. Tell your family and friends that you support transgender people. Tell your co-workers that you support transgender people. No longer will silence be acceptable. The majority of this nation is supportive of transgender rights but the minority is louder than the majority.

Let's show them that this is not okay and no longer acceptable behavior. This is our country too.
