You've heard of Hot Girl Summer...but I'm having a Brave Girl Summer! 💗☀️
This season is the time to try new things, make memories with my friends and family, and just be my true self without overthinking it. This summer, we're choosing confidence over comparison! Who's with me?
Happy 250th Birthday, America!!
Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and fun-filled 4th of July from the Pup Prep Posse. We hope your day is filled with sunshine, splashes, and lots of celebration! 🇺🇸🐾

What an honor! 💗🐾
We're so grateful to the Mom's Choice Awards for recognizing Angel's Big Splash and the message behind it.
Our hope has always been that Angel's story helps kids feel seen, celebrated, and a little more confident in who they are. Thank you for helping us share that message with more families, classrooms, and readers!
Some stories reach further than the page! Angel’s Big Splash is one of those stories.
It speaks to moments of anxiety, feeling different, and learning how to show up as yourself even when it doesn’t feel easy. For so many people with vitiligo, or anyone who has ever felt out of place, seeing a piece of themselves in Angel can be incredibly powerful. It reminds them they’re not alone, and can give them the encouragement to share their story too!

Representation creates connection. 💜
It's kids seeing someone who shares their skin pattern for the first time, characters who reflect their journey, or dolls that look like real people. Representation lives in the stories, role models, and visibility that remind us that we belong.
For so many people with vitiligo, representation can completely change the way they see themselves. It turns differences from something isolating into something visible, normalized, and even empowering!

Happy World Vitiligo Day to this amazing community 💜
Today is a reminder that vitiligo is nothing to be ashamed of, hidden from, or defined by. It’s simply one part of someone’s story, and every story deserves to be seen with kindness and understanding.
Together, we celebrate every story, every journey, and every person learning to love the skin they’re in!
This is for anyone who needs a reminder today 💗
To my friends in the vitiligo community, vitiligo does not take away your beauty, your worth, or your ability to feel confident in your own skin. It doesn’t define who you are. It’s just one part of a much bigger story.
Be patient with yourself on the harder days. Celebrate the easier ones. And know that you don’t have to feel “perfect” to be proud of who you are! Remember, you are not alone!

Doctor visits can feel overwhelming when you’re a kid!
When everything feels new and confusing, stories like Angel's Big Splash help kids feel more involved. They explain what’s happening in a way that feels safe, familiar, and easier to understand!
There is even a vitiligo facts page at the end of the book to help answer questions and clear up any confusion. Thanks to Dr. Polcari at the University of Minnesota for helping us add this important part to our book!

Not everyone is going to look the same, think the same, or experience life the same way, and that’s what makes the world so beautiful. Differences help us learn from each other, connect with each other, and see the world in ways we might not otherwise.
The more we normalize individuality and celebrate people openly, the more space we create for everyone to feel comfortable being themselves 💗
