When I quit my favourite job of all time to pursue my dream job, it was a struggle. What I thought would be an easy road turned out to be a path of long hours, a lot of coffee, fitness goals, introspection, listening, and authenticity. In this talk, you will learn what it takes to be a higher education professional, thought leader, blogger, and speaker. It’s a story of putting in plenty of time and effort; a bit of luck; becoming a parent; spending way too much time on Twitter/LinkedIn and moving to a completely different higher education sector.
