Here is the latest information. Soon golf will be here. I read in the mps paper the average starting date for mpls public golf courses over the last 50 yrs was April 10. So we arent far past that date. Hopefully mother nature will give is a warm long fall to make up for this. Have fun out there stay safe and may your drives be straight and your putts few.

Oh mother nature so cruel

Die-hards have been asking lately: "Are you open?". Our answer at Soldiers Field GC has been: "Just barely". What a lousy end to the season! Unless things dramatically change, we won't have much golf left this year.

The golf course at Soldiers will be closed Sunday (see picture) and we'll be pulling the pins from the greens at the same time. Die-hards can still play golf after that if we're still playable. Dogs will be allowed on the golf course to keep geese away. They'll be asked to yield to golfers but, dogs being dogs, golfers are also asked to be considerate of our unpaid goose control. We need them!
