Magnificat® Ministry Presents Magnificat® Proclaims, Episode 17, Elyse O’Kane –
Heavenly Melodies through Praise & Worship.
Magnificat® Ministry presents Magnificat® Proclaims. In this episode, Elyse O’Kane, a former speech therapist and reading tutor, explains her faith journey. Raised a practicing church-going Catholic, during her college years, Elyse began questioning her faith and attending Mass was no longer a priority, only to return when she was inspired and tended to by a group of ministering
women who helped her through a difficult pregnancy and then experienced a miracle. Elyse has witnessed many miracles in her life. One day, in 1991, a melody inspired by Mother Mary’s Magnificat came to her spontaneously after Mass, and it has since been used in many Magnificat Chapters and churches across the United States.
Elyse has continued to compose and write music, including two CDs, “With all my Heart” and “A Time to Heal.” In addition to writing music, she is involved in the ministry of intercessory prayer and healing and enjoys speaking to
groups about her faith journey.
Elyse is married to her husband, John O’Kane, and they have
three grown sons and daughters-in-law, and seven grandchildren.

We had another faith-filled Magnificat breakfast meal this morning at St. Pius X Parish. It was a wonderful event featuring guest speaker Alexandra Andrews. She shared the powerful ways God has carried out His plan for her life. From being an abortion survivor to becoming a pro-life speaker she revealed the many difficulties she has faced and the healing and mercy God has provided through forgiveness. We were all truly blessed to hear her testimony.
With another delicious breakfast cooked and served by the Knight of Columbus, Raffle theme "Life is a Gift", Praise and Worship music led by Steve and Denise, Ferverino by Fr. Ed Palumbos, it was a beautiful way to celebrate Life.
Hope to see you at the next Magnificat event on September 12 with guest speaker Colleen Antonio.
