Peace Island Rochester

Peace Island Rochester had the pleasure of attending “Henrietta: A Town for All,” a wonderful community gathering organized by the Town of Henrietta Diversity Committee.

At the event, we shared a taste of our culture with Turkish delight and Turkish tea, and enjoyed meeting so many people who value connection and understanding. We were also delighted to see the Gandhi Center participating in this meaningful event, further highlighting the spirit of unity and collaboration among our diverse community members.

The event reminded us that our differences make us stronger, they are not something to fear, but a chance to enrich and strengthen our communities.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Henrietta Diversity Committee, the Gandhi Center, and everyone who contributed to this inspiring celebration of One Community, One Peace.

The Vice President of the Turkish Cultural Center Rochester had the honor of attending Governor Kathy Hochul’s Iftar dinner at the Governor’s Mansion. We extend our sincere gratitude to Governor Hochul for recognizing and supporting the Turkish community in Rochester. This gathering was a meaningful celebration of Ramadan, bringing together diverse communities in the spirit of unity and mutual understanding.
