John G. Gilmore Jr.

John G. Gilmore Jr., 76, of Rochester, NY (previously of Geneseo, NY), passed away peacefully on July 2nd , 2026 at his home. Born on September 15th, 1949 in Washington, DC. He was the son of John and Dorothy (Willett) Gilmore. (Both predeceased)

John is survived by his siblings: Michael (Barbara), Jeanine, Donna (Dale), Richard (Fay), and James (Dawn), his children: Miriah (Unseld), Timothy (Lindsey), Aurora (Marlos), and Patrick (Jonalie), along with his grandchildren: Marlos, Hayden, Phia, Benjamin, and Timothy, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sons William and John and also his brother Robert.

A man defined by his love for the Grateful Dead and sarcastic sense of humor, John dedicated 35 years to his career as an Electrician and Construction Project Manager at Kodak. Outside of work, he loved everything music. He was always going to concerts and events all over the country, especially those that involved the Grateful Dead. He was a “Dead Head” for life.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday July 19th , 2026 at the Elks Lodge, 3525 E Henrietta Rd, Henrietta, NY 14467 from 1pm-4pm including paying respects until 2 followed by sharing stories with hors d'oeuvres and beverages. Interment will be held on Monday July 20th , 2026 at Riverside Cemetery- Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at 2pm.

Brian Custozzo

Brian was predeceased by his parents, Janice and Anthony Custozzo. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Carol; his children, Michele "Meka" Custozzo (Scott Gudis), and Michael Custozzo; his brothers, Gary (Liz) Custozzo, and Scott (Laurie) Custozzo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, extended family in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, and many friends and loved ones who will miss him dearly.

Brian had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found great joy in hunting, fishing, culinary arts and spending time in nature. A skilled marksman, Brian especially enjoyed the patience, focus, and tradition of the sport, including time spent at the Genesee Conservation League. Brian was especially proud of his black belt in Tatsu-Do.

Brian will be remembered for the life he shared with his family, the memories he created with those closest to him, and the lasting place he holds in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He was most at peace near the ocean, on cruises or at the beach.

A Celebration of Brian’s Life will be held in Rochester, New York, at a date and time to be announced.
