We are so excited to host our first "Parents Night Out" in December! So far this month, our foster families have received two home-cooked meals from our volunteers giving them more time to connect with their kids! As we’re gearing up for next month, we want you to know that it’s not too late to volunteer! We have two foster families on our waitlist for meals, so if you can make a meal every month or every other month, we need you! We were able to make lasagna for eight foster families today thanks to our wonderful volunteers and donors! Thank you to everyone who helped cook, clean up, and deliver meals. And, a special thank you to everyone who has donated to our ministry! Your donations helped to give our foster families a night off from cooking! ❤️

We are less than ONE month away from officially launching our support for foster families! But, there’s still a few things we need to meet our launch goals!

1. Three volunteers to make a meal for a foster family each month.

2. Delivery drivers to pick-up/drop-off meals or laundry for foster families. While we need delivery drivers monthly, we specifically need a group of delivery drivers on August 30th.

3. A group/workplace/organization to volunteer together to make 10 meals in November.

Here’s what a foster mom with six kids said about the possibility of having ongoing meals and household help provided for her family.

In just five days, we have enough volunteers to serve seven foster families here in Rochester, NY! We are so thankful for those of you who have stepped up to serve. However, our goal is to have enough volunteers to serve ten families by the end of the week. If you haven’t already signed up to volunteer, will you help us meet our goal and give foster children more quality time with their foster families? Did you know that many foster families have 6, 8, 10, or even more kids?! These families have stepped up in the biggest way to care for our community’s most vulnerable children, making sure that siblings aren’t separated, specific medical needs are met, and children who need a special type of home are given one.

But, these foster families need our help. We’re asking YOU to step up to make a meal for these families. You’ll be paired with a local foster family who you can serve every month, every other month, or every three months. Meals don’t have to be fancy, and it’s easy to make a double batch when you’re already cooking for your family! And, all meals will start in September 2021, so you have plenty of time to plan your first meal.
