Intermodal-Local position in McCook, IL. Drivers will start and stop their day at McCook, IL. 5 Day work week but optional to work 6th day for extra pay. 10-12 hour shifts per day. $1,205 weekly average pay. $62,655 yearly average pay. Training for 5 days for $150 per day. 1131 weekly average miles. Tailers are Daycabs and will have multi mix tailers of live load/unload and drop/hook freight. Occasional customer or mechanical delays may require overnight stays. 3 Months of Class A CDL Truck Driver Experience. Manual Transmission ONLY!! Required to live within 30 Miles of McCook, IL

The Intermodal yard is located in McCook, IL 60625, all tractors will leave and return here daily. All drivers must have their own transportation to commute to and from the yard daily. Drivers work 5 days a week by schedule but can work an optional 6th day for extra pay. All tractors on this fleet are day cabs with manual transmission and Drivers must be legally licensed to operate. Upon hire, driver will spend up to 5 days with Trainer/Mentor at the daily salary of $150 after which will go solo and move to ring pay. A typical work shift will have multiple dispatches with a mix of live load and drop and hook freight. Expect to work a 10-12 hours per day with the average dispatch being a 50 mile radius from the rail ramp. Dispatches could be up to 300 miles round trip. Occasional customer or mechanical delays may require overnight stays. Currently recruiting for a 1st shift schedule (day shift) with scheduled days off being Tues/Wed or Wed/Thurs. Days shift could have a start times anywhere from 7am to 11am.
