Feb 7 event Part 3/3

Crate by crate. Hand to hand. 🍊
What started in the orchard (gleaned by our amazing volunteers) made its way onto the truck - saved from waste and headed where it mattered most.

Windy weather has knocked a lot of avocados off the trees, so we’re organizing a community Avocado Rescue Day to gather the fallen fruit and make sure it doesn’t go to waste.

We’ll be visiting a local property to collect avocados that have fallen from the trees. All fruit gathered will be donated to local food pantries, helping get fresh food to people in our community.
You’re also welcome to take a few avocados home for yourself!

What to know:

🥑 Help collect fallen avocados from the orchard
🛍 Plastic bags will be provided for collecting fruit
🤝 Most of the harvest will go to local food pantries
⚠️ IMPORTANT: No bathrooms are available on-site so please plan ahead
📝 All volunteers must complete the volunteer waiver before the event (link in bio)

🍊🍋‍🟩We are hosting a gleaning/fruit-picking event on Saturday, April 12. Bring yourself, a friend, or fam for a wonderful two hour event of walking through an orchard, collecting citrus for people in need. 🧡
