We’re excited to share a cleanup event organized by a Riverside County student! As part of the Watershed Leaders of Tomorrow campaign, local student Mason Babcock is leading his very own community cleanup event this weekend, Saturday, July 25. Check out the event details below:

🕗 Time: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
📍 Where: Martha McLean–Anza Narrows Park 5759 Jurupa Ave, Riverside, CA 92504

🌱 All ages are welcome! Walk-ins are welcome, but RSVPs are highly encouraged to help us get an accurate headcount.

Keeping our neighborhoods clean is a shared effort 🐾

If you’re part of a business, HOA, nonprofit, or even a run club, we’ve created a ready-to-use “Scoop the Poop” toolkit to help spread the word.

It includes:

• Social media graphics sized and ready to post
• Pre-written captions you can easily copy and share
• Simple, friendly messaging for your community

Pet waste left behind can be carried into storm drains and local waterways, especially in high-traffic areas like sidewalks, parks, and running routes.
A quick reminder can go a long way.

It’s National Oceans Month! Today is a reminder that what happens inland doesn’t stay inland.
The Santa Ana River Santa Ana River runs right through Riverside County and eventually makes its way to the Pacific Ocean. That connection is exactly why watershed protection matters. Everything upstream, from stormwater to everyday pollutants, can travel downstream and impact ocean health.
Through local efforts like the Riverside County Watershed Protection program, we help keep our waterways cleaner from source to sea.
