Happy Father's Day, Leeroy!

Today we are in the Colton jurisdiction area off Reche Canyon Road working to safely capture and transport an injured wild b***o named Leeroy. He has been fiercely protecting his mate and their baby Buster, and it's easy to understand why—b***os form strong bonds and often stay together for life.

Because of this special family bond, we received permission to keep the family together during the rescue. Leeroy is well known in the area and frequently wanders into locations that create serious public safety concerns.

We notified local law enforcement before the operation, and we've received many calls from concerned residents wanting to make sure no one was kidnapping the b***os. We appreciate the community's concern and support.

Walt is more than just a wild b***o. He is one of the last living legends from the local hills. He was part of the 60 Freeway Herd, a gentle old soul who survived decades in the rugged hills against incredible odds. At nearly 40 years old, he is one of the oldest b***os we have ever known.

After a lifetime of hardship in the wild, Walt finally found safety at the DL Bob Barker Sanctuary, where he has been enjoying the care and comfort he so deserves in his golden years.

Today, our hearts dropped when Walt was found down and unable to get up. We knew something was terribly wrong. He was rushed to the hospital, where veterinarians are now doing everything they can to help him.

It is impossible to put into words how much this sweet old gentleman means to us. He has become a symbol of resilience, survival, and hope. Seeing him struggle is heartbreaking.

Right now, we don't know what the outcome will be, but we do know that Walt deserves every chance we can give him.

This beautiful wild b***o is in a desperate fight for survival.

For who knows how long, she suffered alone free-roaming in the wild, carrying a foal she could not deliver. Tragically, her baby did not survive. Exhausted, in pain, and facing a 911 life-threatening medical emergency, she urgently needs veterinary intervention if she is to have any chance of survival.

Thanks to the compassion of a local family on San Timoteo Canyon Road who refused to ignore an animal in distress, help finally arrived. We are also deeply grateful to the Riverside County Department of Animal Services for safely transporting her to the hospital, where a team is now preparing to give her the emergency care she so desperately needs.

Our hearts are broken for the suffering she has endured and for the loss of her foal. Yet despite everything, she is still fighting.

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers tonight. She has already endured more pain than any living creature should have to bear, and she needs every chance possible to pull through.
