Gentle Genie Rugs

This spectacular rug is estimated to be 125-145 years old and was one of the early rugs imported from Persia (now Iran) in the late 1800’s. It had tears and holes and needed a good wash. We were able to put a fabric backing for support and several donor pieces for the holes in the fields. It turned out beautiful and is ready for the next century!

This particular Chinese tufted rug was initially scheduled for an in-home cleaning. Luckily, the cleaning technician realized an in-plant rug washing would serve this rug better and referred the job to Gentle Genie Rug Care.

This rug had both soiling and pet stain issues. After thorough dusting, a urine removal soak, and the immersion shampoo and wash, this rug looks new. What a beauty!
