Praise report!!! No cancer! Mammogram was clear!! I go back in 6 months!!

Treatment 6 of 8 was today. They gave me extra Benadryl and decadron in my pre- treat meds because I had the reaction last time. However, I had another coughing episode and they had to stop the chemo for a while. They checked my BP, oxygen, etc and all was good. After stopping for over 30 minutes I stopped coughing and they were able to start back at a slower rate for a while before finishing at regular speed. The episode happened about half way through. I was able to finish thankfully with no more coughing episodes. Got there at 8 this morning and didn’t leave until about 3:20 so it has been a long day. Feel ok now. I can also see the light at the end of the tunnel. ONLY 2 more!! Thanks again for your prayers and support!

I had treatment number 5 on Thursday. Starting with this one and the 3 final ones, it is the drug Taxol that I receive. I had a little reaction to it while it was being administered. I started coughing constantly and had itchy and burning in my throat. They gave me another round of Benadryl and decadron. I had already had both of these in the pre- treat meds but after more, it stopped the cough. Felt good on Friday, but today (Saturday) my body aches all over. Different from how the first four made me feel. Thankfully I’m on the down hill slide!! Chemo 6 would fall on Thanksgiving day but is scheduled for the Monday after!
