New Custom Built Lead Screw

Yesterday we completed this custom built replacement acme screw for our customer’s Mori Seiki manual lathe. All work was performed at our facility in Ringgold, GA. Includes new steel screw shaft and brass 3 piece nut with adjustment for backlash. We reverse engineered this from the original screw provided by the customer. See photos.

Our customer sent us this Hiwin ball screw assembly and castings from the Y axis of their Mighty Comet CNC mill. In addition to the ball screw rebuild they asked us if we could refurbish the castings and change all angular contact bearings and oil seals. See the finished product below along with some before photos.
