In the last couple weeks I have had an alarming amount of people tell me stories of how they had their brows done by someone, and then the color was gone in less than 6 months.😓 This is NOT how it’s supposed to be! Yes permanent makeup is supposed to fade over time, and it does lighten a lot once it heals initially, but there should still be visible color well past 6 months! Color boost touch up’s shouldn’t be more than every 1 1/2 to 2 years. It’s also normal to need to fill in your brows with a little bit of makeup in between touch up’s, but again, the color should not be 100% gone! 🫥

I think this photo is a good example of how permanent makeup should look over time. You can see her brows have lightened and there are a couple spots that are faded a little more than the rest, but over all they:

✅still have good shape

✅have not faded into blue, grey, or pink

✅have an even color throughout (no really dark spots)

When you’re choosing your permanent makeup artist, look for healed results! That will show you what to expect down the road 🫶
