Relentless Defender stands in mourning today.

We are heartbroken by the loss of Lieutenant Isai Huerta of Odessa Fire Rescue, who made the ultimate sacrifice on Sunday, June 14, 2026. A dedicated nine-year veteran at only 29 years old, Lt. Huerta was a selfless servant of his community, bravely responding to a residential fire where he gave the ultimate sacrifice.

We honor his life, his service, and will never forget his profound courage. Our deepest thoughts and unwavering support go out to his family, his friends, and the entire Odessa Fire Rescue family. We stand shoulder to shoulder with you in this time of grief.

Rest easy, Lt. Huerta. Your watch is complete.
