While We were out performing a job, Our client’s neighbor came out and asked if we could help him with an issue regarding his pool. We went back there and discovered that the pool service company he was using had let the chemistry get way out of hand, and thick layers of black algae had begun to grow all along the waterline and into the filtration system. We drained the pool to re-correct the chemistry and performed an acid wash to remove all of the black algae, and cleaned out and replaced the filtration system. This is one example of what happens when you hire a pool company that has no clue what they’re doing in your backyard. It’s not just about netting and vacuuming the leaves out of the pool. Truly understanding the various levels of chemistry through years of expertise, the dynamics of programming/scheduling, plumbing, and pool equipment, and why certain things occur related to any of the above is very important, especially now that spring is here.
