Art Spiegel’s Maus is probably one of the most celebrated, not just as a comic, but as a work of literature. This is what happens when you mold ideology into aesthetics. It works on a subliminal but also explicit level without bearing you over the head. It shows the brutality of the Holocaust but in an inventive way. I suggest everyone to read Maus. I just hope history is not repeating again.
