She Prevails

When you start a new medication the Doctor doesn’t read all the side effects to you. They just tell you if has SOME side effects. I researched and saw double vision, nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, etc. which I’m experiencing, but I definitely did not see hair loss. So when this started happening I was shocked and cried my eyes out. I didn’t know what to do. Every time I comb my hair this happens.

Before I knew I was going to be starting a new medication, one of my bestfriends Kaneesha reached out to me and said, “Val I’m not sure what medication they are going to put you on, but its going to be small and its going to be effective. It’s going to be the pill that works. I felt in my spirit that I needed to tell you that”. I knew I had an upcoming doctors appointment, I just didn’t know what they were going to do. I assumed they would start some new medication because my migraines wouldn’t go away.

Well, what happen? They put me on a new medication lol. I hate the side effects, but when I tell you it works. My migraines have lessened and if y’all knew all the stress I have been put under in the last couple of weeks including the big bomb that was dropped yesterday… y’all would would be trying to lay hands on my household.

Yes I’m sad about my hair loss, but I’ll take the hair loss if that means I won’t have any seizures. My faith is still intact. My God is still an amazing God and a way maker. I’m not sure what to do about this hair loss, but I know I need to buy a wig or something for the mean time because whewww this is still hard to see every time I comb my hair. My medication group did suggest prenatals and biotin and that it’s happening to them as well. So we will see. God is Good though… that’s all I can say. This shall pass.

Looking across the deck, and noticing she was under way too long, her coach, Andrea Fuentes immediately dove in after her fully clothed, pulling her to safety. Anita was unconscious and didn’t have the capacity to kick, paddle, or help herself in any way.

If Andrea would not have noticed, she would have drown.

But she knew Anita. She looked for her, quickly noticed she was under too long, then dove in without thinking twice.

This has resonated with me….

When you are under too long, who are the people that will look for you, notice, and dive in to pull you to the surface when you lose your strength to swim?

Who are the people that would do that for you?

And can someone count on you to be that person that would go looking and notice when they are under too long, diving in to support them when they are all out of fight and fuel to swim in these turbulent waters we call life? - Tweeted by

Watch the wording in your prayers.. I was praying for my family to be financially comfortable. I really just didn’t want to be greedy you know. Like God I’m here… I don’t want much buuuttt… WRONG!

I thought about it one day and said you know, NO. I want to be more than financial comfortable because when the time comes, I want to be able to be a blessing to others. I want my financial cup to over flow. I want my family and I to enjoy life and my babies babies to enjoy life.

I started praying for God to enlarge my territory. I got real specific with the details and He knew exactly what I meant. The blessing the husband came in the house with the next day was unreal. The breakthrough we have been waiting for. It’s still unfolding, but I knew that was nothing but God. Girl, get specific with your prayers. God will give you exactly what you ask for.. you just have to talk to Him. It’s as simple as talking to a friend, it may come with tears and sometimes a little laughter because God is funny. But talk to Him.. 💜😘 xoxo Val

When the time comes.. everybody will know how God has change my life. The testimony of my husband and I will be the only thing you hear about and Idc if you get sick of me. God’s way is the only way. Talk to me long enough, I’ll have you smiling, crying, and encouraged. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 GOD IS ABLE Y’ALL. 💜

It’s hard to hear God’s voice when you’ve already decided what you want Him to say… Let God lead you instead of you trying give Him the directions of where you think you’re suppose to be. Remember, He knows what’s best for you and has already laid out the plan. He’s just waiting for you to fall in line 💜
