Richmond Symphony presents the 6th Annual Mile of Music as part of Richmond SailFest! 👟🎶

TOMORROW, June 14th, experience this unique concert presentation featuring ensembles from different sections of the orchestra.

Beginning in Jefferson Park at 12PM, discover mini-concerts along a one-mile route in different City of Richmond parks as you make your way towards the Tall Ships!

At this free event, you can take your time to enjoy some music and movement with family and friends!

Event runs from 12:00pm-2:30pm, starting in Jefferson Park and ending at Intermediate Terminal.

Richmond Symphony and Maymont present: Mile of Music
 
🕔 Thursday, June 25th, 5:30-7PM
 
Experience multiple mini-concerts featuring four Richmond Symphony ensembles along a ~1-mile-route within Maymont’s beautiful natural setting on a summer evening.

🌳 At this FREE event, you can take your time to enjoy music and movement with family and friends!
 
👟 Wear your comfortable walking shoes to stroll between performances and bring a blanket or portable chairs to spread out across Maymont’s spacious landscape to hear acoustic performances featuring the Symphony’s talented musicians in four different ensembles of strings, wind, and brass instruments.
 
🎻 Ensembles will perform twice over 90-minutes at multiple locations including the Italian Gardens and outside the newly restored and reopened Maymont Mansion.
 
📍 Start at Maymont’s Hampton Street entrance (1700 Hampton Street, Richmond, Virginia) for the best access to the route. Stay tuned for an exact route map and a schedule of ensemble performances!
 
🙋‍♀️ Don’t miss the Instrument Petting Zoo for all ages to try string and percussion instruments!
