The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has issued both Richmond City and Henrico County a Code PURPLE Air Quality Alert due to air pollution from Canadian wildfires.

Under Code Purple, everyone should avoid outdoor activity. Children and people with asthma are the groups most at risk. Visit rhhd.gov/airquality to stay informed about your region's Air Quality Index (AQI) and related guidance.
