Virginia Composting Council

Virginia Composting Council has been on the move around the Commonwealth so far this spring and summer! We attended the Joint SWANA / VRA conference in May, speaking in the plenary session to industry professionals about organics diversion, and fielding a booth. We also visited multiple large scale facilities... but didn't forget about backyard and community scale systems!

Urge your congresspersons and senators to support the COMPOST ACT I just showed my support for Compost by asking my congress person to support the COMPOST Act! You should too. []

Special thanks to Spotsylvania County, Virginia’s Public Works for providing the Livingston’s Blend compost for our planting table at Dominion Energy Riverrock last weekend! The table was a huge hit for kids and adults alike. We can’t wait to see all the marigolds in a few weeks! 🌼
