Zongo Restaurant

For a long time, my son came to the restaurant with me almost every single day, in his walker, in my arms, beside me while I tried to balance orders, customers, motherhood, and everything in between.

There were days I felt like if one more thing went wrong, I was genuinely going to lose it. And the crazy part is… there was always something. There still is always something. A problem to solve, pressure, setbacks, responsibilities, unexpected situations, all while still trying to show up for my son and keep Zongo moving forward.

And honestly, that’s why nobody can shame me about my journey or my timeline. I’m not worried about doing life the way everyone else does. I’ve learned that your path can look completely different and still become something beautiful.
Most importantly, all praise to God. Truly. Because without God, where would I even be?

Nothing about this journey has gone exactly as planned, but somehow, it continues to work out.
So if you’re reading this while trying to build something while raising a child, carrying responsibilities, or simply trying to survive some days please don’t quit mama.
Trust me when I say God can take the smallest, most uncertain little bit you have left and somehow make it overflow in ways you never imagined. But you have to keep going long enough to see it. 🤍
