Every mission is an opportunity to serve others the way Christ served.

Whether caring for a patient, encouraging a parent, or supporting each other, our volunteers seek to reflect God's love through both their actions and their presence.

Meet Dr. Michael Lee, plastic surgeon and one of LEAP's dedicated volunteers.

Over 8 years and 6 missions, Dr. Lee has offered his expertise to patients who need it most. His commitment reflects the spirit of service that drives every LEAP mission. “We are able to make a difference in every one of the kids' lives as well as their families and their communities.”

We're proud to have Dr. Lee as part of the LEAP family and thankful for the impact he continues to make through his work.

One of the most meaningful parts of every mission is the relationships built along the way. Through shared smiles and time spent together, our volunteers help create an environment where patients and families feel seen, cared for, and supported.

July is National Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness and Prevention Month.

Cleft lip and cleft palate are the most common birth conditions in the world, yet access to corrective surgery remains out of reach for millions of families. LEAP exists to help close that gap, one patient at a time.

This month, we're reminded of why this work matters and grateful for everyone who makes it possible.

LEAP Global Missions operates on the belief that every person deserves expert medical care.

That belief is rooted in faith and in the conviction that we are called to love our neighbors, near and far, with everything we have.

As part of our ongoing efforts to expand medical education in the communities we serve, LEAP connected with local universities in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo to offer learning opportunities for nursing students during this month’s Mexico mission. Nurse practitioner Melissa Howell presented a lecture on cleft lip and cleft palate. Nursing students also observed our mission team to learn about microtia. Thank you to Universidad Autónoma de Zihuatanejo, Universidad CEUSJIC, and Instituto America for collaborating with us!
