šŸ«£ā€œWhere are you gonna be when you’re 25?ā€šŸ˜‚

I remember filling those out like I had it all mapped.

Married.
Successful.
Owning businesses.
Everything lined up clean and early.

Then life showed up.

Not gently either.

It dropped a whole heaping pile of reality on top of those plans… and forced me to grow into someone I didn’t even know I needed to become.

Because the truth is…

I wasn’t ready for the life I thought I wanted back then.

And truthfully was I even ready for it?

I had the vision…

but not the discipline.
not the perspective.
not the character.

That had to be forged in fire.

It didn’t come from things going according to plan.

It came from setbacks.
From losses.
From seasons that didn’t make sense at the time.

That’s where the real work happens.

So yeah… it didn’t look the way I thought it would.

But make no mistake—

If I knew this is where I’d land…

I’d take the same road again.

Because the man I’ve become on the way here…

is worth more than any version of the plan I wrote down back then.

The life I live today is worth every ounce of everything I survived.

If you’re on mission and want to join other men on mission reach out. You’re not alone.

šŸ’ŖWe show up

There was a birthday party this weekend

Zion was invited with a bunch of other kids.

He was the only one who showed up.

And yeah… it bothered him a little.

The kid told him he was sad nobody else came… but he kept saying how glad he was that Zion did.

This is where we

Because most people would walk away only thinking about who didn’t show up.

But I told Zion something different on the way home.

I told him this is exactly who we are.

When we say we’re going to be somewhere… we’re there.

No excuses. No waiting to see who else pulls up. No backing out because it’s not ā€œworth it.ā€

We show up because our word means something.

That boy will remember today.

Not the empty chairs… but the one friend who came anyway.

And that’s the kind of man you become when you live like that.

Not loud. Not for attention.

Just solid.

Most men don’t realize it, but your reputation isn’t built in big moments.

It’s built in small rooms…
when nobody else comes.

Elevated Nutrition - Protein Timing Made Simple

You don’t need to overthink protein timing. You just need to hit your target and spread it across the day.

The principle:
Muscle Protein Synthesis (MPS) peaks every 3–5 hours after eating adequate protein.
(Ref: Schoenfeld & Aragon, J Int Soc Sports Nutr, 2018)

What that means:
Aim for 3–5 balanced meals with 25–40g of quality protein each.
Spacing meals this way keeps MPS elevated and recovery consistent.

Practical breakdown:
• Breakfast: 3 eggs + 1 cup Greek yogurt ā‰ˆ 35g
• Lunch: 5 oz chicken + 1 cup rice ā‰ˆ 40g
• Snack: protein shake + banana ā‰ˆ 30g
• Dinner: 6 oz salmon + 1 cup potatoes ā‰ˆ 45g

Coach’s Note:
Forget the ā€œslam your shake in 30 minutesā€ myth.
Consistency beats timing gimmicks. Hit your numbers daily.

šŸ”„Leadership

Real leadership isn’t about being liked — it’s about being anchored.

A man who leads with conviction doesn’t chase applause.
He moves with direction, not distraction.
He listens to God before he listens to the crowd.

Every home, team, and community is starving for men who will stand firm when it’s uncomfortable…
Men who will speak truth even when it costs them comfort.
Men who protect, provide, and lead with humility — not ego.

Leadership isn’t a title. It’s a burden you choose to carry with grace.

ā€œThe greatest among you will be your servant.ā€ — Matthew 23:11

Be that man.
Lead your family.
Lead your brothers.
Lead yourself.

And never forget — authority without submission to God is just arrogance in disguise.

āø»

Mentor’s Note:
You don’t need to be perfect to lead — you need to be present.
Start by showing up where others shrink back.

Forge strength. Lead with purpose. Stay Elevated.

āœļøFreedom in Surrender

Lately, I’ve been reminded over and over — I’m not the one writing this story.

From the early days of building my business, to leading my family, to raising Zion and Koa and preparing to welcome another child… I’ve watched God move in ways that made no sense in the moment but made perfect sense later.

There were seasons where I thought the door I was knocking on had to be the one — only for it to stay shut. Times where the money didn’t line up, the timing felt off, or I questioned if I was even on the right path.

But every time I let go of control and trusted God with the outcome, He showed me why His plan is always better than mine.

Looking back now, I can see how He used those waiting seasons to strengthen me as a man, a husband, and a father. I learned that obedience is greater than understanding — because sometimes the path doesn’t make sense until you’re standing in the blessing you once prayed for.

So wherever you are right now — if things don’t look clear, keep walking. He’s ordering your steps, not wasting them.

Trust Him with every move.

āø»

šŸ“–I want to always make sure that what I’m saying, teaching, and doing line up with scripture and truth. So I’ll post scripture most of the time with my posts, and feel free to call me on it if it doesnt.

ā€œThe steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and He delighteth in his way.ā€
— Psalm 37:23

ā€œTrust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.ā€
— Proverbs 3:5–6

ā€œBe still, and know that I am God.ā€
— Psalm 46:10

ā€œWe walk by faith, not by sight.ā€
— 2 Corinthians 5:7

ā€œMany are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.ā€
— Proverbs 19:21
