The Elevated Man
š«£āWhere are you gonna be when youāre 25?āš
I remember filling those out like I had it all mapped.
Married.
Successful.
Owning businesses.
Everything lined up clean and early.
Then life showed up.
Not gently either.
It dropped a whole heaping pile of reality on top of those plans⦠and forced me to grow into someone I didnāt even know I needed to become.
Because the truth isā¦
I wasnāt ready for the life I thought I wanted back then.
And truthfully was I even ready for it?
I had the visionā¦
but not the discipline.
not the perspective.
not the character.
That had to be forged in fire.
It didnāt come from things going according to plan.
It came from setbacks.
From losses.
From seasons that didnāt make sense at the time.
Thatās where the real work happens.
So yeah⦠it didnāt look the way I thought it would.
But make no mistakeā
If I knew this is where Iād landā¦
Iād take the same road again.
Because the man Iāve become on the way hereā¦
is worth more than any version of the plan I wrote down back then.
The life I live today is worth every ounce of everything I survived.

šŖWe show up
There was a birthday party this weekend
Zion was invited with a bunch of other kids.
He was the only one who showed up.
And yeah⦠it bothered him a little.
The kid told him he was sad nobody else came⦠but he kept saying how glad he was that Zion did.
This is where we
Because most people would walk away only thinking about who didnāt show up.
But I told Zion something different on the way home.
I told him this is exactly who we are.
When we say weāre going to be somewhere⦠weāre there.
No excuses. No waiting to see who else pulls up. No backing out because itās not āworth it.ā
We show up because our word means something.
That boy will remember today.
Not the empty chairs⦠but the one friend who came anyway.
And thatās the kind of man you become when you live like that.
Not loud. Not for attention.
Just solid.
Most men donāt realize it, but your reputation isnāt built in big moments.
Itās built in small roomsā¦
when nobody else comes.

Elevated Nutrition - Protein Timing Made Simple
You donāt need to overthink protein timing. You just need to hit your target and spread it across the day.
The principle:
Muscle Protein Synthesis (MPS) peaks every 3ā5 hours after eating adequate protein.
(Ref: Schoenfeld & Aragon, J Int Soc Sports Nutr, 2018)
What that means:
Aim for 3ā5 balanced meals with 25ā40g of quality protein each.
Spacing meals this way keeps MPS elevated and recovery consistent.
Practical breakdown:
⢠Breakfast: 3 eggs + 1 cup Greek yogurt ā 35g
⢠Lunch: 5 oz chicken + 1 cup rice ā 40g
⢠Snack: protein shake + banana ā 30g
⢠Dinner: 6 oz salmon + 1 cup potatoes ā 45g
Coachās Note:
Forget the āslam your shake in 30 minutesā myth.
Consistency beats timing gimmicks. Hit your numbers daily.

š„Leadership
Real leadership isnāt about being liked ā itās about being anchored.
A man who leads with conviction doesnāt chase applause.
He moves with direction, not distraction.
He listens to God before he listens to the crowd.
Every home, team, and community is starving for men who will stand firm when itās uncomfortableā¦
Men who will speak truth even when it costs them comfort.
Men who protect, provide, and lead with humility ā not ego.
Leadership isnāt a title. Itās a burden you choose to carry with grace.
āThe greatest among you will be your servant.ā ā MatthewāÆ23:11
Be that man.
Lead your family.
Lead your brothers.
Lead yourself.
And never forget ā authority without submission to God is just arrogance in disguise.
āø»
Mentorās Note:
You donāt need to be perfect to lead ā you need to be present.
Start by showing up where others shrink back.
Forge strength. Lead with purpose. Stay Elevated.

āļøFreedom in Surrender
Lately, Iāve been reminded over and over ā Iām not the one writing this story.
From the early days of building my business, to leading my family, to raising Zion and Koa and preparing to welcome another child⦠Iāve watched God move in ways that made no sense in the moment but made perfect sense later.
There were seasons where I thought the door I was knocking on had to be the one ā only for it to stay shut. Times where the money didnāt line up, the timing felt off, or I questioned if I was even on the right path.
But every time I let go of control and trusted God with the outcome, He showed me why His plan is always better than mine.
Looking back now, I can see how He used those waiting seasons to strengthen me as a man, a husband, and a father. I learned that obedience is greater than understanding ā because sometimes the path doesnāt make sense until youāre standing in the blessing you once prayed for.
So wherever you are right now ā if things donāt look clear, keep walking. Heās ordering your steps, not wasting them.
Trust Him with every move.

šI want to always make sure that what Iām saying, teaching, and doing line up with scripture and truth. So Iāll post scripture most of the time with my posts, and feel free to call me on it if it doesnt.
āThe steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and He delighteth in his way.ā
ā Psalm 37:23
āTrust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.ā
ā Proverbs 3:5ā6
āBe still, and know that I am God.ā
ā Psalm 46:10
āWe walk by faith, not by sight.ā
ā 2 Corinthians 5:7
āMany are the plans in a manās heart, but it is the Lordās purpose that prevails.ā
ā Proverbs 19:21
