****Vehicle Fire Accident****

Our dept assisted Pelican FD last night for a reported vehicle that caught on fire after striking a deer on Hwy 8 near Hay Meadow Road. All parties in the vehicle were able to exit the vehicle. Pelican Engine 2 arrived on scene to a fully involved vehicle fire. Firefighters from Pine Lake assisted Pelican with fire suppression and traffic control as the westbound lane was blocked with fire apparatus. Firefighters remained on scene until the wrecker company removed the vehicle.

Apparatus from Pine Lake included Engine 1, Truck 1, Tanker 1 and Tanker 2

Oneida County Sheriff's Dept and Ambulance also responded to this call.

Ron was a past Fire Chief for Pine Lake FD. He will missed. There will be a celebration of life held at the Pine Lake Town Hall on June 14th

Brianna has been an outstanding volunteer while she has been in the program. She received the $500 Pine Lake Fire Department Auxiliary Scholarship for all her hard work.
