The Christian faith teaches that there is glory after suffering. At last I felt I understood this wisdom completely. Because after enduring so much pain, I had finally found my true love and my path. My heart sang with joy.
Beggars or Angels, Rosemary Tran Lauer
As we continue to work through these hard times please be sure to check up on one another and remember that there is always going to be a bright side in all the darkness. As we are coming along into the holiday season, try to buy local and help support our local economy as much as possible! If you are looking for an inspiring book to read or give as a gift, go check out Beggars or Angels. This book follows the journey of Rosemary Lauer - a refugee who came to America with nothing, and built her life to become a successful business woman!

“With everything, including gravity, seeming to work against it, the bumblebee succeeds by doing a little bit more. The bumblebee’s ability to fly is a miracle of nature—one that defies all odds, logic and laws of science. I now believe this is what my friend meant when she made her observation. I love that.”
-Beggars or Angels, Rosemary Tran Lauer
As we are working our way through the struggles of COVID-19, we must remember to stay strong and keep working towards our goals - no matter how big or small - be the bumblebee. With things slowing down, we can all use this time to make a plan for our future goals and figure out how best to accomplish them. Please be sure to check up on your family, friends and neighbors to see if they need anything. I hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy. Have a wonderful week filled with happiness.
“Once the fighting subsides, it’s easy to allow ourselves to become bitter and angry. But because of the consideration others showed me during my journey out of the darkness of Vietnam, I’ve been able to hang onto my belief that kindness, compassion and love can conquer all—even war.”
Beggars or Angels, Rosemary Tran Lauer
I hope that everyone is doing well as the world is slowly beginning to reopen. It is important to remember that even through these uncertain times we need to hang onto our kindness and compassion for one another. As everything reopens, try to be compassionate and eat and shop at local, small businesses that have been hit hard by COVID. Everyone can do their part to help others prevail and continue on through this rough patch.
