I get asked a lot, should I use my emergency fund to buy XYZ. Especially when buying a house, you REALLY need to have additional funds outside of down payment for those unexpected things that WILL come up in your 1st 1 or 2 of ownership.
Great rule to follow: If you can anticipate an expense, it’s not an emergency!
Examples: Taxes, Breaks, New Tires, Christmas, Buying a House, Vacation to Cabo, Hiring a Coach, oh and Mother’s Day - Use your monthly budget...
Car Accident, Serious Illness, Job Loss - Emergency Fund
