The first major overhaul of the Metrobus system in over 50 years takes effect on June 29, 2025.

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s (WMATA) Better Bus Initiative includes improved bus routes and schedules, updated route names and signage and the removal of some stops for faster service.

Fairfax Connector recently launched the 798 route, providing express bus service between Tysons, Virginia and Bethesda, Maryland.

If you travel to Bethesda for work or fun, the 798 bus can save you time by routing around DC with limited stops.

The route is priced at the express rate, so your trip is $4.80 each way.
