Welcome to M.E.N.D. 11/03/2016

It's been an amazing four years since Jonathan's book "Grieve Like A Man" was released during his deployment overseas. We've heard from countless men and women how much the book has helped them along their grief journeys. This year we made our first international delivery to a new partner organization out of Canada serving bereaved parents after infant loss. We also continue to partner with our dear friends at WWW.MEND.ORG. Jon and I will celebrate 20 years of marriage next month, and Madison is our reading-swimming-horseback riding 3rd grader. Overall, God has lovingly confirmed His calling Jonathan to write this book with testimonies and steady requests for copies. That all being said, we're down to our last 150 printed copies. Harvest House will not be reprinting, but the book remains available in e-book through Amazon. We'd love to get these last few books in new hands by the end of 2016. If you or your organization would like to utilize this resource, please contact me at [email protected]. Thank you for your words of encouragement and referrals over the last four years! You have blessed us!

We realize it's been quite a while since we've updated our Facebook status. For those of you who know Jonathan, it's not surprising! Last year was a very difficult year for us as Jonathan had to have two separate back surgeries and continues to work through that healing process even now. He has been keeping busy with Army work throughout the summer and book speaking engagements have tapered to about one per quarter. Over the last year, Jonathan and I have been asked to speak together regarding our story, grief and brokenness. We're particularly excited about an engagement in February where we'll be talking about the marriage relationship and s*x to a group of MOPS moms and their spouses. It should definitely be interesting given that we'll be celebrating 19 years of marriage this December! Book sales continue sporadically for various churches, university grief counseling classes and military connections. We are most humbled by a military chaplain who presents the book to families welcoming home their fallen soldiers. We're honored with this partnership, but absolutely heartbroken with each order knowing that means more of our men and women in uniform have given the ultimate sacrifice. That sums up the last year or so. We're still in southwest Missouri and would love to share Grieve Like A Man with those in the area looking for someone to preach on a Sunday or share with a small group. Contact us if you need us!
