According to the National Fire Protection Association, a home structure fire is reported in the United States every 85 seconds. Nearly 30 percent of those involve some sort of grilling misadventure. That’s why we thought it was important to send you this quick reminder.

🍗 Keep children and pets away from where you are grilling.
🍗 Keep a fire extinguisher close by.
🍗 Avoid leaving the grill unattended. If you need to walk away, have someone keep an eye on your grill while you are gone.
🍗 Keep the grill away from flammable materials like curtains, gas, trees, or shrubbery.
🍗 Make sure your grill is clean and use the proper long-handled utensils.
