Ripley is a gelding that we have had in our program for the last year and a half. He will sit like a dog, lay down on command, and has been started in liberty work. He is extremely versatile. One day, you can go rope and doctor cattle, and the next day put an english saddle on him. He also recently started in the cart, making for a fun weekend stroll. He has been a handy horse to have around, as we've used him to pony younger stock and problem horses in training. He has been hauled all over and trail ridden by beginners. Everyone that comes to the barn wants to ride Ripley. He is always taking care of his rider, whether it be kids, grandparents, single, double or triple. Going Platinum aka "Luna" is a welsh pony thoroughbred Mare. She is 13.2 1/2 hands tall. She is a flea bitten grey. She can jump up to 2'6" comfortably. She does have a lead change. He’s a genuine as they come and the definition of a gentle giant! He stands 17.3hh at 4 years old. He is a uniquely colored true blue roan; you will not see a more beautifully colored horse! His conformation is solid and correct. He has good bone structure and great feet! This boy is the real deal. He is 75% Percheron and 25% Quarter Horse. He is sired by the legendary Sireks Minnesota Blue Boy and his mother is a grade percheron quarter horse cross. He has a sensible head on his shoulders and a heart of gold. At 4 years old his experience is amazing! He’s been ridden down the road, around the farm, in the ring, and out on the hunt field. He’s a big, but yet, sporty boy, with a soft mouth, and 3 balanced gaits. He can take both canter leads from the walk and his breaks are great. Oh, did I mention he’s as smooth as sitting on your favorite couch?!?! He stands for mounting and dismounting, anywhere from a trampoline to a picnic table to a mounting block. He works on and off leg and seat pressure. He also loads hauls ties and pickets. This is a HARD type to find; T-Rex has been ridden in several state and metro parks in Michigan and is no stranger to a day in the woods. He has been exposed to lots wildlife, water tunnels, traffic, and bridges. He will bravely take the lead, or bring the horses in from the back, you pick his place and he will happily take it! T-Rex has been ridden all over the fields and back roads of Michigan’s beautiful Metamora hunt country. He’s been on several hunter paces as well! This boy shows potential to be a fox hunter’s dream mount! He is also broke to drive, both single and double. T-Rex is broke to work on just about anything you want to hook him to! He will pull a plow manure spreader, hay bailer, or just take you for a laid back stroll around the country sides. He stands as still as a statue to be harness, hooked, and unhooked! He also stands for his passengers to get on and off the carriage! He has taught many very beginners how to drive and harness a horse. T-Rex has been working a kids summer camp teaching driving lessons to kids as young as 4 years old; watch the video and take note at who’s holding the lines!
