Year Two at the Reno Rodeo Cattle Drive is in the books! 🤠🐂

Great leadership lessons are often found outside the office - teamwork, resilience, trust, and a shared commitment to getting the job done. The Cattle Drive delivered all of that and more!

It was such an incredible experience spending last week alongside fellow riders, volunteers, community leaders and ranching families as we drove 300 head of rodeo steers from Winnemucca Ranch to Reno, Nevada. We kept each other safe, motivated and going the next mile.

I’m proud to have made it the whole way: it was SO hot this year, you have to be tenacious and just not give up. And you have to have Faith in God, faith over fear, and faith in your counterparts sharing this adventure with you.

I’m grateful and proud for the opportunity to participate and share in a uniquely Nevada experience. A big thank you to everyone who makes this tradition possible year after year and I know that I simply could not have done it without my Copper Pennies (my amazing team!) and my Faith.

What an incredible morning at the SHRM Northern Nevada June Breakfast Meeting!

I had the privilege of leading "Roadmap to Becoming a Best Place to Work: The Secret Sauce," and I’m still energized by the experience. The engagement, enthusiasm, and thoughtful conversations throughout the session were a powerful reminder of why I’m so passionate about this work.

As we prepare to celebrate the milestone 20th Annual Northern Nevada Best Places to Work, I feel both grateful and excited. What began as a recognition program has grown into something much more meaningful - a roadmap for organizations committed to creating cultures where employees thrive and people genuinely want to come to work each day.

During our session, we explored what sets top-performing organizations apart, shared valuable insights from our partners at Quantum Workplace, and discussed practical, actionable strategies for building stronger workplace cultures. We also took a behind-the-scenes look at the Best Places to Work survey process, addressed common misconceptions, and highlighted how organizations can use employee feedback to drive meaningful change and engagement.

Thank you to everyone who attended, engaged and contributed to such a fun and meaningful session. It went so well, and I'm excited to see how these ideas continue to shape workplaces across our region. As we enter our 20th year, I’m filled with optimism about what’s ahead and the impact we can continue to make together. Let's get the entire region to take part next year and make it absolutely monumental!
