Delaware’s 2025 Wildlife Action Plan has officially been approved by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service — a major step forward in protecting the species and habitats that make our state unique. 🌱

This plan serves as a roadmap for conserving Delaware’s most vulnerable wildlife, focusing on:
✔ Species of Greatest Conservation Need
✔ Habitat protection and restoration
✔ Addressing threats like habitat loss, climate change, and invasive species

2025 Delaware Wildlife Plan approved by US Fish and Wildlife Service DNREC announced today that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has given formal approval to Delaware’s 2025 Wildlife Action Plan for guiding conservation efforts for the state’s wildlife and their habitats through 2035.

Happening Tomorrow at Mt. Cuba Center 🌿

The Mt. Cuba Center Education Open House takes place tomorrow, March 15 from 12 PM to 3 PM, and there is still time to register.

This free event offers a great opportunity to learn about upcoming gardening and wellness classes, explore the Ecological Gardening Certificate program, and enjoy guided or self guided tours of the gardens before the season officially begins.

If you are interested in native plants, ecological gardening, or supporting biodiversity through better landscape practices, this is a wonderful way to get started.
