Happy Fourth of July from the Redmond Police Department!
We wish everyone a fun, safe, and happy Independence Day with family and friends.
If you're planning to celebrate with fireworks, please remember that personal fireworks are not permitted anywhere within Redmond city limits on the Fourth of July or any other day of the year (Redmond Municipal Code 9.26.020).
Instead, leave the fireworks to the professionals and enjoy one of the many public fireworks shows happening throughout the region. It's a safer way to celebrate for your family, your neighbors, and our community.
If you see the use of illegal fireworks in Redmond, please report it to our non-emergency line at 425-556-2500.
Have a safe and enjoyable Fourth of July!

A recent neighborhood bike rodeo in a Redmond neighborhood brought together Redmond Police, King County Target Zero Coalition, and local families for a fun and educational bicycle safety event.
The rodeo was organized by Iyan Golla, who recognized a need for youth bicycle safety education and worked with our department to make the event happen.
Through Iyan's efforts, King County Target Zero donated helmets, allowing nearly 40 children to receive properly fitted protective gear while participating in a hands-on bike safety course led by our officers.
Thank you to Iyan, Sgt. Overman, CRO Atkinson, Community Engagement Sgt. Neorr, Crime Prevention Coordinator, Viki Aleksandruk, and RPD Volunteer Michele LaBare for working the event and helping make it such a success!
