This might seem like a strange series of pictures but I thought it was worth sharing. This portion of a 3 piece fender flare mold forms the attachment fl**ge and the customer has requested that we drill holes in the parts before delivering. Once the correct drill locations were found, we drilled small pin holes for these tiny brass pins. Here you can see the process of bonding the pins in, cleaning them and then going back over them one last time to fill in any negative cavities that might still be there. Now the parts will come out of the mold with a series of precise detents for easy drilling!
