Its the time of year where the road crews start to apply Magnesium Chloride on the roadways as a deicing measure to prevent slippery roads. Mag Chloride has a salt component to it which helps melt the ice when it forms on the roadways. This salt component can cause corrosion to the underbody and other metal areas of your vehicle.

Our touchless car wash (second bay) is set up to give a hard cleansing spray to the underbody and a good blast to the lower sides of the vehicle, called the rocket panel blaster. This will help to keep your vehicle free from corrosion that this chemical can cause. Both these sprays are offered with the lower priced wash ($9) as well as all the selections offered.

Our soft touch car wash (first bay) provides the undercarriage spray, albeit not quite as strong as the touchless, and then the friction of our non-scratch closed foam cell brushes( the best and most expensive in the industry) will remove the Mag Chloride as well.

The Mag Chloride is applied with a sticky substance (used vegetable oil) to bond and adhere to the roadway, which may leave a film on the car after the wash, and can be simply wiped off with our microfiber towels that we supply after you exit the wash. It's good to leave the auto dryers a little early to leave moisture on the car when wiping the film from your vehicle.
