Rishi Sunak's Budget 2023 announced:

- Providing 30 hours of free childcare for eligible working parents of children between nine and 36 months, with support being fully rolled out by September 2025.

- Increasing nursery funding by £204 million from this September, rising to £288 million next year

- Funding schools and local authorities to increase the supply of wraparound care so parents can drop their children off between 8am and 6pm

- Paying childcare costs upfront to parents moving into work or increasing their hours on Universal Credit
