Last few races of the season done. Had a very busy last few weeks with two 1.2s one 2.2 and 2 club competitions. Had some bad luck and illness that hurt my results in many of the races, but I ended it off with a 14th on the final stage of and a nice early breakaway in the final. I wasn’t able to get a top ten like I was hoping, but 14th in a stacked field in Czech was something to write home about. Back home now and taking some time off before finding my feet again for next season. Thanks to everyone for the support for another year!

Getting through the summer heat…
Tour of Szekerland was a great race where the team came together to get our leader in the top ten every stage and 10th overall. We spent stage one working together to reduce the gap of the winning break and I ended it with a leadout to put Alex in 8th place and myself holding on for a top 15. Stage 2 we placed Alex in the front split of the day after some big climbs and even though I didn’t make it in the split myself, me and went 1-2 in the second group sprint. A great sign for the rest of the season with

Long trip in Eastern Europe came to an end last weekend after 9 hard days of UCI racing in Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland. Trip started with some hilly races, but due to the heat I was unable to capitalize on the good legs and just fell short with my best result being 30th place in GP Poland after narrowly avoiding a crash in the group sprint. After that it was 6 days of fast flat racing averaging almost 50kph every stage. My best result came on the final stage where I finished 27th place, but the real highlight was helping leadout to our teams first podium of this season along with top tens on other stages. More racing to come soon in Romania to try and find more big results for the team 💪🏼.

Back to back weekends of UCI racing, both in the rain as usual. I returned to GP Herning after breaking my wrist last year seeking revenge, and I almost had it. After over 120km in the cold, rain, and over the gravel I was in the third group fighting for a top 30. I was punching above my weight, literally, but on the final circuits I flatted and unbeknownst to me my team car had also flatted and was stranded out on course. The neutral car drove by and I was left watching the race ride away from me as I rode around the lap on a flat tire begging people for a new wheel, DNF.
This weekend was Silesian classic, a race I really like with lots of steep hills on a technical circuit. I raced at the front all day attacking over and over, but unfortunately missed the winning move. In the last two laps me and turned up the pressure and I slipped away from the pack in the last 5km soloing in for 17th place. It wasn’t the big result I was looking for, but feeling as strong as I did and being able to get away at the end gives a bit of hope for the rest of the year.
Huge thanks to the team staff and my teammates for supporting me in every race.
