Chemo is done.

When they removed the cancer during surgery in October, chemo became the insurance policy — the extra step to make sure it stayed gone.

It hasn’t been easy.
The neuropathy has been the hardest part.

But today that chapter is finished.

Next week I start immunotherapy.
Every three weeks for the next year, infusions and labs.

Radiation is still ahead too.
A month of daily treatments when that begins.

So the fight isn’t over.

But chemo is behind me.

And somehow, in the middle of all of this, spring showed up.

The grass is green.
Wildflowers are popping up.
Baby chicks and ducklings running around the yard like life is perfectly normal.

I’ll take that as a reminder.

Still here.
Still standing.

And a big thank you to Janet Snodgrass for driving me today and hanging out with me through it. That kind of support matters more than people realize.

Life keeps showing up. So will I.

The last couple weeks have been… a lot.

My body has been fighting me harder than usual and the ranch decided to pile on with broken utilities, snow damage, and a list of things failing faster than I can keep up with.

Alex showed up this weekend and just went to work.

We burned piles, rebuilt the garden beds, cleared winter damage, and started putting the place back together again. Honestly, a lot of it wouldn’t have happened without her.

Sometimes the difference between feeling buried and feeling hopeful is just someone showing up and getting their hands dirty with you.

I’m really grateful for that kind of friendship.

One small rebuild at a time.
