Children's Legacy Center will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day.

With safe adults, consistent support, and time, children heal. Not perfectly, not on a straight line, but genuinely. We have watched it happen.

June 27 is PTSD Awareness Day. We hold it every year as a reminder that healing is not just possible. For the children and families we serve, it is the whole point.

This is one of the hardest things to talk about. And one of the most important.

Sextortion happens when someone online pressures a child into sharing explicit images and then threatens to share them unless the child sends money, more images, or meets in person.

Children who experience this often feel crushing shame and fear. They may go silent, withdraw, or show sudden changes in behavior.
They may believe they caused it.
They did not cause it.
