We’d like to recognize and thank the sponsors powering our 2026 Wildways season 🌿
This work simply wouldn’t be possible without the organizations and partners who invest in making these experiences happen. Their support helps bring our programs to life, strengthen community connections, and expand what Wildways can offer this year.
To celebrate, we’re kicking off the season with our Roots & Rhythm Festival this Saturday, May 9th from 4–8 PM along the Sacramento River 🎶
Featuring live music from Max Minardi and Dusty Foster, plus local food trucks and a great evening outdoors.
Join us in celebrating the season ahead—and the partners who help make it all possible.

Have you ever wondered how sheep help keep our landscapes healthy?
We often think of sheep for the products they provide, like wool and dairy—but they’re incredible animals on their own. Did you know that they can recognize up to 50 other sheep faces and even remember human faces for years? They’re way smarter than people think!
Beyond that, sheep act as your eco-friendly landscapers. They can help in reducing wildfire fuel and controlling invasive weeds. Well-managed sheep grazing can even improve soil health and encourage native plant growth!
Sheep ranches engage in the farm-to-fiber process, building a hands-on connection with their animals. If you’d like to see how freshly shorn wool is transformed into fiber, join us at our Farm to Fleece event on Friday, April 24th, from 10am-1pm.
Tickets for the event are $40 and can be purchased on our website at shastalandtrust.org or through the link in our bio.
Want to support local sheep ranches? Shop at farmers markets or join a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) that includes sheep products.
