Shabbat Shalom! Today is Juneteenth, a holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. Keshet offices are closed today in observance of Juneteenth. Keshet staff are spending the day engaging with and learning from Black Jews, and you're invited to join us.

It's so important to honor this date right now, as public observances of holidays like Juneteenth and Pride Month are threatened because they celebrate marginalized people and our stories.

There is still work to be done. Juneteenth is an important reminder to all of us of why we fight: The struggle for freedom for all must continue because until we are all free, none of us is free."
