Team V Eventing

Wow, what a week at Ocala International Festival of Eventing!! Munson and I did the CCI1*-L - my first Long in 25 years! The sport and the courses have changed a lot since Young Riders in 2001; it's been a big challenge getting back up to the international level, but damn, what a ride!! Let's go again!! 🔥

Munson was a rock star all week; a pro in the jogs, fancy pranced as much as his rider let him in dressage, and was nearly foot perfect in his favorite phase - only 2 time faults due to me being a little light on the gas pedal! Such a cross country genius, wow!! We did struggle in show jump, it's always our hardest phase and doing it third after a long week was rough. But we got it done and finished in 10th with a big pretty ribbon!! All that for a ribbon ... Yes, we are crazy. 🤣

As always, HUGE thank you to everyone who helped and supported me this weekend, and all along the journey here!! From the home barn help that held down the fort so I could leave at 3:30am and get home at 10pm and not worry, to the Munson walkers who got him out of his stall to graze multiple times a day, those keeping me on schedule, the gentle nudge or direct shove of a water bottle or mello yello under my nose, all the vet box help, the grooming help, and of course all the clothing donations so I looked presentable at the jogs!! It takes a village to chase this dream, thanks to all of you from the bottom of my heart. 🫶🏼
